Broomstick killer found guilty of killing girlfriend in front of son October 2, 2024 (Jackson, MS) Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens, II, announces a guilty verdict in the trial of Billy Gibson who was convicted of second-degree murder for killing his girlfriend, 28- year-old Darcie Rich. On December 24, 2019, Jackson Police Detectives were called to the scene at 6824 Franklin D. Roosevelt where they found Ms. Rich unresponsive.
