Owens, II, announces the sentencing of habitual offender, Joseph Zattoni who was convicted of kidnapping and felon in possession of a firearm. On February 9, 2023, Mississippi Highway Patrol Troopers responded to a call at 3329 Highway 473, in reference to a young woman having been abducted from her car and forced into the suspect’s vehicle. State v. otis singleton july 30, 2024 (Jackson, MS) Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens, II, announces the successful prosecution in the trial of Otis Singleton who was convicted of second-degree murder for killing 26-year-old Victoria Hollingsworth. On October 29, 2020, Jackson Police Department officers responded to 739 Monterey Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Hollingsworth unresponsive and lying in a pool of blood.
