Guilty Verdict After Double Shooting Leaves Ex-Girlfriend Dead, Boyfriend Injured September 11th, 2025 (Jackson, MS) Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens, II, announced today that a jury has found 32-year-old Zverian Brent guilty of Second-Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault for the 2022 home-invasion killing of his ex-girlfriend, 26-year-old Terrencia Jackson, and shooting of 31-year-old Henry Perry.   The incident occurred in the early morning hours of June 7, 2022, when Brent forcibly kicked in the carport door of Jackson’s home on Fleetwood Drive in South Jackson. Guilty Verdict in Murder Stemming from Broken Bottle Dispute  July 24th, 2025 (Jackson, MS) Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens, II, announced today that Gregdrick  Brown has been found guilty of First-Degree Murder in the shooting death of 36-year-old Tellis May.
