71-year-old husband found guilty of killing wife September 20, 2024 (Jackson, MS) Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens, II, announces a successful prosecution in the trial of Robert Lumpkin, a habitual offender, who was convicted of manslaughter for killing his wife, Laura Lumpkin and for being a convicted of felon with a firearm. On August 19, 2022, Jackson Police officers responded to 124 Barbara Avenue in reference to a deceased individual.
