Passenger Sentenced to 30 Years After Guilty Plea in Lyft Driver Attack April 15, 2025 Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens, II, announced on Monday, April 14, 2025, that Dontarius Magee pleaded guilty to four charges — armed robbery, armed carjacking, attempted murder, and kidnapping — all related to a 2021 incident.
