Triple murderer found guilty May 16, 2024 (Jackson, MS) Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens, II, announces the successful prosecution in the trial of 29-year-old Maurice Forte who was convicted on four counts of capital murder. On September 16, 2018, the Jackson Police Department responded to a shooting at a home on Marwood Dive. Upon arrival, officers observed a male sitting in the front yard with a pistol on his right side who identified himself as Maurice Forte. Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for planned drug transaction robbery February 9, 2024 (Jackson, MS) Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens II announces the guilty verdict in the trial of Michael Greene who was found guilty of Capital Murder and Felon in Possession of a firearm. On November 18, 2021, officers with the Jackson Police Department (JPD) responded to 2100 Raymond Road following the report of a shooting.
