Man Sentenced to 30 Years After Pleading Guilty to Manslaughter and Aggravated Assault March 19, 2025 (Jackson, MS) Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens, II, announced that on Monday, March 17, 2025, Xavier Gray pleaded guilty to manslaughter and one count of aggravated assault in relation to a fatal shooting that took place in 2022. On April 22, 2022, Jackson Police responded to a call at 300 West Capitol Street regarding a fatal shooting.
