(Jackson, MS) Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens, II, announces the guilty verdict convicting Terrance Longino of First-Degree Murder. Longino was convicted following a five-day trial, in the Circuit Court of Hinds County.

On July 7, 2018, JPD Officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of Eastview and Central Street where they discovered the body of 26-year-old Lee Evans. At trial the evidence supported that Longino shot multiple into Lee Evans’ body over an alleged theft of a broken iPhone and $30.00.

Longino was sentenced to life in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

“This is another act of senseless violence, our office is committed to holding those who commit these acts accountable”, says District Attorney Owens.
