On March 20, 2025, the Hinds County District Attorney’s Office hosted a Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon as a way to recognize and thank the men and women who serve our community each day. The luncheon created space to slow down and acknowledge the dedication, professionalism, and sacrifices of local law enforcement officers whose work often goes unseen. From long hours and difficult cases to the constant responsibility of protecting others, law enforcement officers play a critical role in keeping Hinds County safe and supporting the pursuit of justice.
Strong collaboration between law enforcement and the District Attorney’s Office is essential to the work we do. Officers are often the first to respond, gather evidence, support victims, and help build cases that move through the criminal justice system. Their partnership, commitment, and attention to detail are vital to ensuring accountability under the law. This luncheon was not only a thank-you, but a reminder of the importance of mutual respect, communication, and shared purpose in public service. The District Attorney’s Office remains grateful for the continued partnership with local law enforcement agencies and for the work they do every day to serve and protect our community.
